The Roxtec FlamePlus™ is a fire rated cable sealing solution for use either with insulation in the wall cavity – or with a smart extension frame that eliminates the need for fire insulation.
The Roxtec FlamePlus™ transit has a fire rated composite frame with a wide flange for attachment by bolting. Its lightweight modular design simplifies handling and logistics: there are few parts, but you can put side and mid sections together and configure them as you wish. The transit is, in fact, so light that you do not need any costly load bearing support for your sandwich panels anymore.
- Fire rated
- Watertight
- Lightweight
- Non-magnetic
- Corrosion resistant
Ideal for upgrades or retrofit
The sealing modules add to the flexibility: they adapt to cables of different sizes and can be used to create spare capacity. So can the built-in knock-out plate, which provides ingress protection during construction up until cable routing and – if you want – for a long time after construction and up until expansion. The transit is openable and can be installed around existing cables in retrofit projects.
Covering many applications
The Roxtec FlamePlus™ transit is versatile. You can use it in interior and exterior walls, in concrete and sandwich panels, and in roofs and ceilings in containerized solutions, modular buildings and advanced constructions. It is non-magnetic, which makes it suitable also for high-voltage cables. It is an ideal choice for buildings such as datacenters, semiconductor plants, and battery plants.
With or without insulation
With the Roxtec FlamePlus™, you can secure both water ingress and fire protection while avoiding corrosion. You can fill the wall cavity with insulation and meet the requirements regarding integrity and temperature without any traditional mineral wool cable insulation extending out from the wall.
If you do not want to use any insulation at all, you can add the self-venting extension frame. It is made from aluzinc-coated sheet metal and includes intumescent material that expands when exposed to fire. The solution can eliminate all the time-consuming wrapping of insulation around cables. By using it, you can save a lot of time and improve installation ergonomics.
