Once again, Roxtec sealing solutions for cables and pipes have shown their strength within power transmission and distribution. The seals efficiently keep water and rodents out.
When refurbishing the electrical substation SS Ernestinovo in Osijek, Croatia, the construction team had problems with water leakage and rodents. The traditional method that had been used to seal the penetrations in the relay houses was not enough to form a barrier that would protect the driving equipment inside against flooding, humidity and pests. Fortunately, the Roxtec team in Croatia was able to help design and installation firm Tehno-elektro specify reliable seals.

Support throughout the project
Roxtec representatives provided efficient technical support. They inspected each penetration, measured each cable and proposed a Roxtec solution. There were signal cables and power cables as well as OKITEN pipes that needed sealing. In some openings, there were as many as 100 cables – which was perfect for the space saving multi-cable sealing system from Roxtec. As it is openable, quick and easy to install, and functional immediately after installation, it is ideal for this kind of urgent retrofit needs. When the installers assembled the transits and selected sealing modules, the Roxtec team continued to provide field support.
