Sealing components
Frame
The frame is the transit opening itself and provides enough structural strength to manage the compression force when closing the seal. Frames can be welded, bolted to or cast into the structure and are available in different sizes and/or combinations for several openings.
Sealing modules
Roxtec modules feature Multidiameter™, our invention for adaptability to cables and pipes of different sizes based on removable layers. Just peel off layers for a perfect fit. You always have the right product at hand and can minimize the need for bringing installation material.
Lubricant
Natural tallow is used to lubricate the sealing modules, the compression unit and the inside of the frame. The lubricant ensures movement in the frame during compression, which is essential for even compression and correct sealing performance.
Stayplates
Roxtec stayplates are used for pull-out resistance against forces in cables and pipes. The stayplates are inserted between rows of sealing modules in frames with rectangular packing space and separate compression units.
Compression Unit
The compression unit, or wedge, is used to tighten the installation of cables, pipes, modules and stayplates. When the bolts are tightened, the compression unit expands, compresses modules, and seals the transit. The wedge clip is used to verify the tightening of the bolts.
