We are seeking an experienced Sales Development Representative for our corporate headquarters in Tulsa, OK. This role will support Roxtec, Inc. Industry and Process Industry segments across North America. The ideal candidate is flexible, enjoys change, has a strong customer focus, and thrives in a high-paced environment.  This is a full-time position reporting to the Marketing Manager.  Roxtec Inc. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Roxtec International AB, located in Sweden.

Job Summary  

The Sales development Representative is responsible for identifying and qualifying potential opportunities and leads at the initial stages in the sales funnel. This role is one of the first touch points for prospects and sets the tone for remainder of the sales cycle. The process involves researching, connecting with, and educating potential prospects, with the intent of handing them off to the outside sales team.

Essential Job Functions  

  • Effectively partner and work with the Marketing team, Outside Sales team and Technical Support team to develop account intelligence and help define target markets and opportunities.
  • Mapping account research
  • Prospecting – Cold calling/emailing, referrals, social selling to generate interest
  • Re-engaging existing targets with no recent activity
  • Scheduling meetings for the outside sales team
  • Documenting information and interactions in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software
  • Following up on incoming leads, as appropriate
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements 

  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently, as well as within a team environment
  • High energy with a strong desire to take action
  • Ambition to learn and grow, developing skills/experience applicable to any career path
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or comparable work experience
  • Minimum one year of sales or business experience, technical sales preferred
  • Experience with outreach and prospecting
