Frame
The frame is the transit opening itself and provides enough structural strength to manage the compression force when closing the seal
The frames are welded, bolted to or cast into the structure
There are different sizes of the opening, i.e. the packing space
Openings can be added to each other, horizontally and vertically, to make one big combination frame with several openings

Lubricant
Natural tallow is used to lubricate the sealing modules, the compression unit and the inside of the frame
The lubricant ensures movement in the frame during compression, which is essential for an even compression and thereby correct sealing performance
Stayplates
The stayplates shall be inserted between the module rows
The function of the stayplate is to provide pull-out resistance for the sealed cables or pipes and to improve leak-tightness performance
Compression unit
To accomplish a tight seal, a compression unit is used to seal the installation of cables or pipes, modules and stayplates
When the bolts are tightened the compression unit expands and compress the modules to create a tight seal
The wedge clip is used to verify the compression
