Lubricants are to be used in all installations to assure the proper sealing performance. Two types of lubricants are available, the tallow and the assembly gel.
NOTE that the assembly gel may only be used in installations with IP 54 rating or lower.
Stayplates are placed between each row of modules to anchor them axially in the frame. Available in 120 millimetre and 60 millimetre (4.724" und 2.362") width.
The Roxtec wedge is the compression unit for the frames of the Roxtec product line Regular. The Roxtec Wedge is a highly efficient compression unit, which saves valuable installation time both when it comes to installation and re-installation of the Roxtec sealing system. The complete compression unit consists of only one piece which, by turning the screws in the front, both compresses and decompresses the wedge.
The Roxtec wedge is the compression unit for the frames of the Roxtec product line Regular. The Roxtec Wedge is a highly efficient compression unit, which saves valuable installation time both when it comes to installation and re-installation of the Roxtec sealing system. TheRoxtec R EMC is a shielded version of the R frame, intended for installations in metal sleeves connected to earth. The frame is filled with Roxtec RM ES or PE modules.
A Roxtec RM ES B and RM PE B sealing module consists of two halves, and has removable layers and a centre core. Thanks to this technology called Multidiameter™, one single module can seal a cables or pipes of several different diameters simply by peeling layers away from the module halves until a perfect fit is achieved. The Roxtec ES B and PE B modules differ from standard Roxtec ES and PE modules by having the conductive foil attached to the back of the module instead of the centre. These modules are appropriate when the integrity of only one side of the seal can be threatened by hazards such as fire, water and dust. None of the modules´ EMC capabilities are lost, but installation is made easier.
The round Roxtec RS seal is also available in versions for EMC applications. Roxtec ES with electromagnetic screen and Roxtec RS PE for potential equalization.
A Roxtec RM sealing module consists of two halves, and has removable layers and a center core. Thanks to this technology called Multidiameter™, one single module can seal a cable or pipe over a span of several different diameters simply by peeling layers from the module halves. This ensures a perfect fit.
Frames of Roxtec product line Regular are filled with standard RM modules at 60 millimetres (2.362") depth, which together cover a diameter range of 3 to 99 millimetres (0.118"-3.898").
The RM RC modules are used as compensation modules in the SRC frames. These modules come in kits containing four pieces, which is the correct number for all frame sizes. The RM 40/0 RC makes it possible to use an RM 20 module in the corner of an SRC R40 frame.
The Roxtec G frame is a flanged metal frame that can be cast, welded or bolted into place. The frame is delivered without bolt holes, but pre-drilled standardised hole-patterns are available on request.
In a thick wall the installation can be supplemented with a GE extension frame in galvanised steel sheet in order to seal the whole depth of the entry.
The Roxtec GHM frame was developed for applications where welding is not suitable. The flange has a pre-defined hole pattern for bolts, corresponding to exposure levels in tests.
The frame is delivered with a TSL 15x6 sealing strip. The GHM frame’s relatively low weight compared to SF frames makes it easier to handle during installation.
The Roxtec S frame is a metal frame without flange, intended for welding to the construction. It is available as a single opening frame, or in combinations with several openings in width and/or height.
For an EMC-solution we recommend S frame in stainless steel.
The Roxtec SBTB (Back-To-Back) frame is a combination of two regular S frames with a spacing distance in between. The total depth of the frame is 200mm. This frame type is used as an extra level of protection, such as in H class fire rated environments, or when tightness after installation should be verified by adding overpressure in the cavity in between the different frames.
Roxtec SE PPS
Roxtec is one of the few modular seals that is certified for use with several types of plastic pipes through a single penetration. By using special extension frames, together with the S frame assortment, we can offer solutions to handle several pipes in the same opening. Should a fire occur in the area, a fire insulating foam expands to block the passage of the pipes and protects against high temperatures.
The Roxtec SF frame is identical to the S frame, except it has a 60 millimetre (2.362") wide flange. The flange helps simplify welding to unprecise holes, or enables the frame to be bolted to the construction. On bolting we recommend the use of a TSL sealing strip.
For an EMC-solution we recommend SF frame in acid proof stainless steel.

The Roxtec SRC frame has rounded corners to reduce stress concentration in load bearing structures. This reduces the risk for cracks around the transit. The SRC frame is available in two standard versions: SRC r20 and SRC r40.
The Roxtec R frame is a round frame for installation in pipe sleeves or round holes. The compression is integrated in the frame and is used together with standard RM modules.
R frames are supplied with a net installed on the back side as protection during horizontal installations (except R 70 and R 75). The frame can be cut open for installation around existing cables or pipes.
The Roxtec RX and RS X kits consist of a round penetration and sleeve solution attached to the construction through expansion, when welding is not allowed or desired. The specially designed expansion sleeve has a rubber gasket on the outside and as the bolts on the sleeve are tightened it expands in the hole to firm attachment. Into the opening of the sleeve is fitted an R frame or an RS seal.
The Roxtec RS seal is a round seal for single cable or pipe entries in metal sleeves or core drilled holes. The two halves have removable layers. Thanks to this technology called Multidiameter™, they are adjustable to fit a wide range of different cable or pipe diameters. The split construction makes it easy to install around existing cables or pipes.
Roxtec RS OMD is a round seal with removable layers both on the inside and outside. Thanks to this technology called Multidiameter™, the RS OMD handles variations both for cables or pipes inside the seal and for the fit on the outside to the pipe sleeve or the hole.
The Roxtec RS PPS back-to-back seal has been developed specifically to address the challenges of plastic pipes passing through pressurised and fire rated areas. The seal consists of two Roxtec seals that protect against water and gas leakage. An intumescent sealing strip in the middle expands when the plastic pipe burns through, and fills the empty space to stop any fire from passing through.
The Roxtec RS PPS/S is a single-side seal for protection of openings with thermoplastic pipes in fire rated areas, such as steel decks and bulkheads. The seal ensures complete blocking of smoke, flame and water through the opening of the pipe in case of fire.
The RS PPS/S is approved for installation from one side.
The RS PPS/S is intended for use with RS standard sleeves (SL & SLF).

The Roxtec Sleeve with flange is used the same way as the singel sleeve but with a pre-holed flange. This allows it to be used for bolting into structures where hot-work is not allowed, or to be cast into concrete structures. When bolted it can be used with a TSL sealing strip. The Sleeve with flange (SLF) can also be used the same way as an SF frame for welding into holes that are cut with less precision.
The Roxtec PPS back-to-back seals, must be installed in sleeves, SLPPS. The sleeves are welded into different structures.
