Roxtec launches light-weight seal for power cables

Roxtec extends its compact seal range with the Roxtec ComSeal™ 15/3. It is designed for power cables in the range 28-43 mm, going into converters, generators and cabinets.
“Turbine manufacturers supplying global industries such as the wind power sector want to standardize with flexible cable sealing solutions in order to cope with varying cable makes and tolerances. Now we are able to help them also regarding larger power cables in the range 28-43 mm,” says Robert Stubb, Head of Wind Power Segment at Roxtec.
The cable entry seal contains the new Roxtec CM 50 modules. These are lighter than the classic Roxtec solutions for big cables, but nevertheless equipped with
Multidiameter™, the Roxtec solution for adaptability based on removable rubber layers.
“The new seals will create many new opportunities for us and for our customers,” says Robert Stubb. “Installation becomes faster both in plants and on site.”
The seal provides possibilities for routing of pre-terminated power cables. The Roxtec ComSeal™ 15/3 is tested and approved for IP 55. It will also be released in an EMC version, approved for IP 54.
