Network Rail selects Roxtec for communications upgrade

Roxtec in the UK has secured a deal to provide cable and pipe seals to Network Rail as part of its Railway Communications System upgrade. The Roxtec G frame will be used to seal cables in the RCS cabinet and protect from a range of hazards. Roxtec will be a key component in the project as the product will help protect the equipment in case of fire, flooding, explosion or rodents.
The RCS is a single communications network, covering every public railway line in Britain. The RCS upgrade will deploy GSM-R mobile phone technology to enable direct and continuous digital communication between train drivers and signalers across the entire network.
