Increased capacity for fire testing

The Roxtec fire lab has been successfully upgraded. The high capacity oven has been relined and equipped with an enlarged, protected observation platform, so the skilled test team can now proudly welcome more customers and classification societies to witness the advanced testing. During the maintenance period, new computers were installed. The measuring equipment was checked and tuned according to official fire curve standards.
“We invite a lot of authorities. We have to ensure safety and that all results correspond to official fire test standards,” says Tests & Certificates Engineer Daniel Nilsson.  
Lead time has been shortened thanks to an additional wall for testing of seal installations. The fire lab offers excellent conditions for witnessed tests of the fire stop feature of seals installed vertically or horizontally. Roxtec performs tests of the entire system in a realistic environment to be able to develop new and customer specific solutions, but also to verify the performance of existing products in new applications.
